A Burns Day Supper!

If your not planning on going out tonight to a Burns Supper, why not host your own?

What should you eat?

The main ingredient for any good Burns Supper is a nice, spicy haggis. Believe it or not you can buy Haggis from any good butchers or supermarket. Neeps and tatties  – or  turnip and potatoes as they’re better known compliment Haggis really well and are normally served mashed.

The Haggis usually comes already cooked and just requires some careful re-heating until it is piping hot.  I would advise boiling your Haggis, keep it in its bag and boil for approximately 20 mins.

What should you drink?

Well Whisky of course!!! Contrary to popular belief, adding a little water to your malt actually improves rather than dilutes the flavour, although some whisky drinkers may not take kindly to watering down their drams!
